About Jennifer Murdock, MD
Dr. Jennifer Murdock is an Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon and board-certified ophthalmologist known for her refined aesthetic eye, surgical precision, and deep commitment to innovation in facial rejuvenation. Specializing in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures around the eyes and face, she blends the precision of science with the nuance of art to create results that are natural, elevated, and enduring.
Her unique perspective began at the University of Miami, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Marine Science, alongside a minor in Art History. A formative semester in Paris studying original masterpieces ignited her lifelong appreciation for symmetry, texture, and proportion—an aesthetic sensibility that now shapes her surgical approach.
Dr. Murdock’s early scientific work included clinical research on advanced laser, injectable, and surgical techniques through the University of Miami’s Department of Cosmetic Medicine. While earning her medical degree at the Miller School of Medicine, she also championed public health efforts through the Department of Community Service (DOCS), providing free care to underserved populations across South Florida. Her creative drive led her to produce an educational documentary series—collaborating with a professional film team—to spotlight the healthcare challenges and cultural richness of these communities.
She returned to her hometown of Houston to complete a rigorous ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where she discovered a passion for teaching and surgical mentorship. Her dedication and skill earned her one of the nation’s most competitive fellowships in Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) at Oregon Health & Science University. At OHSU, she performed thousands of surgical procedures—ranging from delicate eyelid and orbital reconstructions to pediatric oculoplastics and advanced aesthetic enhancements. Dr. Murdock is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of ASOPRS Oculofacial Society, and has since emerged as a recognized leader in the field.
Her clinical interests bridge the forefront of aesthetic innovation and complex surgical care. She specializes in upper and lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), under-eye rejuvenation, brow lifting and brow recontouring, facial injectables, and advanced laser resurfacing—with a focus on optimizing pre- and post-procedure protocols for faster recovery and natural results. Dr. Murdock is deeply engaged in research surrounding regenerative medicine, including exosomes, stem cell therapies, and emerging anti-aging technologies that enhance skin quality and facial harmony. She also brings extensive expertise in complex orbital and eyelid reconstruction, pediatric oculoplastics, and inflammatory orbital diseases such as thyroid eye disease. She recently participated in an FDA multi-center study investigating a new treatment for thyroid eye disease and now is currently a sought-out speaker for her expertise in the field.
